My design, the "Dial-A-Duck", isn't too original, but it yields 14 different pickup combinations on a Strat simply by doing a mash-up of : 1) a Tele with a 4-way switch and a phase switch on the neck pickup 2) a Jazz Bass with two volumes and one tone The Neck & Bridge output goes to one volume and the Middle output goes to the other volume knob. By using the Jazz Bass' wiring to achieve independent volumes, you can dial in as much "quack" via the Middle volume knob as you want. But, unlike traditional blender circuits, you don't need any special pots and the Middle pickup can be used by itself. Here's the wiring diagram along with a table that details the various pickup combinations.

I like it! its simple and versatile. Well presented too. Have you tried it yet? For the middle volume pot, I reckon a linear pot would be better than a log one, to get smoother blending.

Tim-
A nice scheme, but can you downsize it a bit so it doesn't blow off the right hand side of the page?

JohnH: Yeah, I have my MIM Strat wired this way. I started out with the "Hendrix Mod" that's posted at Bill Lawrence's web site, but I wasn't happy with the results. So I came up with this one.
As for a linear versus a log pot for the middle volume, I just used the standard "Fender 250K Volume/Tone Pot" which I believe is a CTS Audio taper. It seems pretty smooth to me. I figured that if Fender uses this pot for the Jazz Bass volumes, it would be good for this design too.
Newey: I sized the GIF file so that if you downloaded and printed it, it would fill the page. It's a GIF export of a PDF (vector graphics), so I can resize it to whatever dimensions you like, just let me know what you want for this forum. I'm just concerned that it might become hard to read if I make smaller.
