I have a Cort Effector that needs work on the effects. Structurally it's fine, the hardware is fine, and everything is ok. But the effects bank is not happy. Some buttons have no effect, and the distortion is there, but very quiet. And everything routs through there, so the overall output suffers, obviously. The electronics are standard components, so you could very easily start replacing caps, etc. I've just arrived at the realization that this is one of those projects that's never gonna get done. So out it goes. 50 bucks plus shipping? Or if someone has some nice hot passive humbuckers, humbucker-sized P90s, or other pickup sets, a trade would be nice -- I'm already sad that I sold my Bill Lawrence XL500...I'm back on the hunt for one now...

Well, I did a cap job on the effects bay (that is, I replaced all the electrolytics) and the sucker works! I had to use one cap that was too big, so I can't fit it back into the control cavity yet, but almost there...so shortly this thread may be about a working Cort...I'll even post sound clips
