I just did RandomHero's series mod on my stock Mexi Strat. www.1728.com/guitar3.htmI remember seeing a few people wondering what this would sound like. The new tones do not sound like humbuckers; there is a "family resemblance" but it is not an identical twin. I think its mom is the humbucker's sister and its dad is Strat Quack, which makes the N/M and N/B series tones cousins to the humbucker. ;D Basically, I dig it. Plus the two "unintentional" sounds that come from the 5-way shorting in the extra pickup in parallel are nice Tele-ish tones. I plan to use this axe with its sorta-humbuckery sounds as a backup to my main SSH Strat. Matt

Hi Matt,
some would say that sort of thing knows no geographic bounds, it's a state of mind.

Hi Matt, some would say that sort of thing knows no geographic bounds, it's a state of mind. This is true. Sumgai, I'm in Minneapolis.

I like Minneapolis, except in the Summer or Winter. Every time that I go there it's either 96 F or a whole bunch less.
My company gots many functions there.
And do we really need a 500,000,000 sq. ft. IKEA?
I was reading a book aboot statistics.
It asked the question:
Which is more congested; Jakarta, IKEA, or Hell.

The only use for 96,000,000,000 sq ft IKEA's is that their parking lots can keep all the Volvos in one handy place and OFF THE ROAD!
I have a bit of a personal thing about the place since they spent a year building one a quarter of a mile from my house - now their sign lights up the night sky outside my bedroom window, and when they opened the store, they had an ABBA tribute band playing at full volume in a tent outside from 7 am, while all the invited guests gobbled their free breakfast.
...but screw it, my bassman goes to 12...........

And do we really need a 500,000,000 sq. ft. IKEA? Ugh. There should be highways and exits in that place. My fiancée took me there when we were looking for a new futon. That place... I don't intend to go there again. The furniture is OK but it's just too big. Plus, I'd much rather look at a room full of couches, then a room full of tables, then a room full of recliners... but then as a geeky dude I don't see the need for furniture to match. ;D That seems to be a trend, of bigger and bigger stores... Wal-Mart, Super Target, Home Depot (everything's bigger there), etc. Too much cookie-cutter suburbs, not enough personality. Matt "OT?" What's that...?
