Les Paul tone knob removal project. (there are more details to this, but this is a step process) Is there a way to simulate my tone pots at 10? (250k + 22s) Would I just run a 230k resistor and a 22 cap on the hot lead from the humbuckers? Diagram?

hi icegnome,
welcome to GuitarNuts2,
if you originally had a 2 tone control, 2 (interactive) volume control configuration, you could put 470k (LPs use 500k pots) resistors in series with each one of your original tone caps.
then put each of those series networks in parallel with the HBs.
(where they connect to the volume pots)
this would be the same as having the tone "on 10".
or if you just omit them completely, the sound will be a little brighter.
(tone "on 11")
if you had a single control (do they even make them like that?), the resistor in series with cap, would connect between the output of the switch and common. (or across the terminals of the output jack)
cheers,
unk
