Hi, I am new to this site.
I am wiring my guitar using the 3 way toggle switch with the box electronics. there are 3 lugs on 1side and a 4th on the other size, which one is wired to the ground of vol pot and which one is wired to a lug on the volume pot? I would be using a schematic similar to the seymour duncan 2hum with 1vol and 3 way ... any help would be greatly appreciated

okay Dan, i can tell you some things about it, but not everything. the top lug in the photo, is just the case of the switch. it has no connection to anything inside. you can get a little bit of shielding from hum if you connect it to ground of your circuit. that would be same as the center of the 3 lower connections of the standard switch shown in the SD diagram. in the photo, the center of the 3 lugs on the bottom, corresponds to the connection at the top of the switch in the drawing. in the photo, the outer 2 lugs, on the bottom of the switch go to the pickups. but, here's the last piece of the puzzle, and i don't have it! let's imagine, the switch was installed in your guitar, and left was toward the neck. on most enclosed toggle switches, you would connect the neck pickup to the terminal on the lower right. i'm not 100% certain that's the case here. worst case, if you wire it up, and it's wrong, you'll have to swap the connections at the 2 end terminal. anyway, that's as much as i know about it. maybe it's enough to get you where you need to go. cheers, unk
