I wiring up a bass project and I have a delema. I have 2 HB's with 2 wire(So tap coils are not an option) each. I had the control plate made and the only cut I had them make was for a 3 way blade switch. I decided to do 2 volume/1 tone control. How do I incorporate the 3 way blade switch and 2 volume pots? Thanx,Mike

2 Pickups with 2 volumes nullifies the use of a switch, in my opinion. I'd just save yourself the trouble and leave it out.

shadowcastaz, to these here forums! ranchtooth points out that you can fade between two pickups by merely manipulating the two volume controls - this is how the Jazz Bass has been doing it since, what, 1961 or thereabouts. But a switch is OK, if you perceive that you'll benefit from faster switching action. If you have a three way switch, you can only get a parallel combination or a series combination of the two pickups, but not both (unless you give up one of the single pups as a selection). Decide which way you wanna go, and soon enough, a diagram will appear. (Hint: The stock Jazz Bass configuration has always been in parallel. IMHO, a series combo will be darker, and less well defined.) HTH sumgai
