HELP!!!

Hey everyone, I'm new to this... Came here for help. I picked up this ancient strat body loaded with a strange pickup configuration and wiring set up on ebay. It's got two single coils at the bridge hooked up to a three way toggle, allowing the selection of bridge1 both or bridge2 and it has regular neck and middle single coils. It also has a master tone and a master volume as well as a standard five way switch, which treats both bridge pickups as one [whichever is selected by the toggle]. This guitar sounded killin' and I loved it. But there was terrible terrible hum. So, I figured..Shielding! I'd done it on a standard set up strat with excellent results. Went over to guitarnuts and did my best to follow the dirrections, but the different wiring set up got really confusing and now I need help rewiring it because it's currently not functioning. I'd like to have it work the same as it did...the quirky wiring and pup config were really cool...HELP! The wiring is really confusing me. Basically, 2 bridge pups to the three way toggle...then to the 5 way switch as one bridge pup. other two normal pups to five way...master volume and master tone. Tried star grounding and lost all signal...Can somebody draw me up a quick diagram of what I should do? THANKS!!! [sorry if that all sounds random but I'm kinda frustrated with this thing right now....]

phr, Hi, and welcome to the NutsHouse! ;D Here, see if this makes any sense to you: That gives you just the basics you asked for, no phase-reversal nor any series combinations, nothing like that. They can be done, if you request them, but it'll get much more hairy, and mighty durned quickly. It'll be your call, but I think this'll do the job for now. ;D HTH sumgai
