Hi guys its been awhile but I lost one of my notes.
You guys recommend 1uf and 220k resistor bleed combo for humbuckers and 500k pots.
2uf and 100k resister for single coils and 250k pots for single coils right if my memory is right.
I built a tele for a friend from out of town that I put on the bleed combo on the volume control. Well he and everyone else loves it for the sound but I lost my notes I got from you when I did it. Now a couple of his members want me to rewire theirs .
One thing I added new to my bench this year is a Extech MN26 meter to check just about everythin, and I am more fussy on how far the pots can be off and the caps . I try to match pairs like pots and caps and it seems to really make a difference ??

Hi monradon, the usual treble bleed recipe for 500k pots is a 1nF cap (= 0.001uF, (should be a greek micro symbol but I cant find it)), in parallel with a 220k resistor between vol pot hot and centre lugs. With 250k pots, the need for treble bleed is less, but I have heard of people using 1nF and 150k - i cant vouch for that one personally however.

John, Akshully, you did find it, you just typed it! But you forgot the opening ampersand, and the closing semi-colon. Done correctly, you would have typed in µ, which would have shown up as µ. ;D HTH sumgai p.s. Ω is rendered when you type in Ω. The O must be capitalized, or else you get the lower case greek letter..... ω. Not too many uses for that one in basic electronics.

?How basic? Ω The basic unit of resistance/impedance. ω The basic unit of frequency response (2ΠF). Not of much use in AC cicuits like guitar wiring or anything...... You know, it leads to them there AC Ω's.
