I recently bought and installed some GFS pups (through Ebay). Alnico, slightly overwound PAF style, Hummers.
I have been really pleasantly surprised at the pallate of tones available especially with the on/on/on - Series/Single/Parallel option for each pup.
I put in a in/outta phase switch but really can not hear much difference between these two settings.
But the pups have been articulate, growly when pushed, sweet and clean when stroked, and responsive. Much more full ranged than my Les Paul's pickups, which I won't replace.
Anyone else tryed these (h09 and H10) or other GFS pickups and care to review. Excellent price points compared to duncans, lawrence, fralin etc.

i was SO excited to get GFS strat pu's for my eastwood, only to find out they don't have models with narrow pole-spacing. boy, was i disappointed! next time i need PUs, though, i'll definitely try em cuz i've heard lotsa good stuff (esp on harmony central)!! (btw i ended up getting mighty mites, which DO have narrow spacing and are even cheaper, and i really love those! god bless cheap gear!! good cheap gear, that is!)
