I want to swap the pickups in a old guitar that was hanging around my basement ;D. Its a strat copy. Now why am I posting this?? To ask the best around B4 blowing sum money. The pickups can be anything... Im interested in the noisless ones or hot ones (if either is worth it). Unknown brands are welcome. So please just tell me what you ppl would do. Ohhhh I forgot, what do lipstick pickups sound like? bye bye

well one cant really say what the best pickups are it all depends on dozens of factors :guitar type, string size type of wood , way you play, what music you play, finish type, fretboard type i can tell you from my experience with a cc clark guardian that carvin twinblade pickups get muddy when turned down but great for distortion, vintage noiseless sound great they capture much of the vintage sound (plus they're noiseless) to hear them just listen to a kenny wayne shepherd song, and texas specials sound like a vintage pup but with more punch and since its overwound youll hear a lot of hum unless you shield the beast to hear them listen to a SRV song great for blues rock got them on my mexican strat right now
havent heared lipstick pups either so cant help you on that
