So I'm in an awful buy-n-sell phase, trying to feed my need for new stuff by letting go of old stuff...anway, have a few Ibanez guitars I'd like to find homes for:
Ibanez X-Series Destroyer DT155
www.ibanezregister.com/Gallery/x%20series/gal-dt155.htm
Black, 80s era, Phil Collen (Def Leppard) model, rosewood fretboard, good condition.
So, this is an older, and more worn guitar. Three humbucker setup. Overall the guitar is in very good shape -- the neck is sound and straight, the electronics are excellent and feature a unique wiring arrangement. The one explanation I've found says this:
"a volume a tone and one that mixes the middle pickup with either the bridge or neck pickup. The middle pickup cannot be used alone. Pickup selector switch bridge/neck/bridge and neck or all three"
So what I think he's saying is that you have Bridge only / Neck plus Bridge / or Neck only -- and the mid-blend knob dials the middle pickup in or out, and that just mixes in with whatever setting on the 3-way you have selected. I still haven't dug in there yet to confirm this, but it sounds accurate from my playing.

Asking $340 plus shipping.

Ibanez RG120 -- yes, this baby found a home :-)
And by the way -- Mini-Strat_Maine -- great guy, and a fantastic person to do business with!

Ibanez Roadstar II RS335BK
This one is not for sale at the moment. I've decided to restore it, and give it a shot. First I began work on refretting it (I took a class on fretwork, and this is my first on-my-own project), and had to really sand the board down to get to a good surface...unfortunately I took it too far down, and the frets are gonna go into the maple in a few places :-( But I also discovered that the truss nut was shorn off, so the truss rod is non-functional, so it's a wash anyway. Fortunately it's old, dry, and very straight, so I should be able to get some life out of it still.
Then I found an original bridge base from a guy in North Carolina, saddles from a guy in London, and am currently working on getting posts from another guy...this is a totally cosmopolitan guitar!
So, after the refret, and the rebuild of the bridge, I'll be able to run it through its paces. I actually like it quite a bit now, and am hoping to turn it into a keeper...if not, given the condition of the neck and body, I'll probably have to part it out...

But I DO have another new Ibanez: a DT250 -- another very 80s metal style guitar!

Traded
I'm always open to trades/partial trades for other guitars, effects, etc. Just about anything. I'm currently very interested in telecasters and strats (fender mex's are fine, I'd add cash for an american; also schecter PTs). In terms of effects, I love Line 6 stuff. But in general, I dig hearing ideas.
Oh, and if you're close to Chicago at all, we can certainly arrange to exchange in person.
Thanks guys!
