I have had this twin for 21 years and now that i have real "twins" I'm not able to take advantage of this sound monster.
It is in mint condition as I rarely ever played it. There have been no mods done to this amp. I had the tubes replaced 10 years ago. not sure what they are but according to a friend they are highly valuable.
I have always had this craving for a marshall so if anyone is interested in trading or purchase let me know.
thanks

Chris, hummy says that it's of vintage 1980, so it's too old to have that moniker officially. So far as I've been able to determine, these were made in 1994, and/or possibly 1995. When the real Evil Twin stands up, it looks like this: A fairly lengthy look-see around the 'net shows that there are several for sale on eBay right now, but mighty few references to, or articles about, them elsewise. The image above is from an eBay sale, I hijacked it and posted it to my own server. It'll be around for awhile. sumgai

Carl, Stevie Ray ain't got nuttin' on you........ you're in Triple Trouble! ;D You've got a very standard FTR, but even when they're basket cases, they're still nothing to sneeze at! I used to have two of them, just because my pedal was stereo. I was putting my chiro's kids through college! Now I'm down to one, also a SF like yours. I don't drag it everywhere, but when the going gets tough, the tough trots out the Fat Boy, and shortly thereafter, you can hear the mayor asking "WTF was that?"! ;D A friend of mine once accused me of 'drive-by ear surgery'! (above smilie courtesy of unklmickey, thanks unk!) Keep the thing. Find a closet somewhere, and put it away. If nothing else, it will only go up in value, meaning that you should treat it as an investment. In the last 5 years here in the Seattle region, FTR's of CBS vintage have risen from $600 to roughly $1K - that's more than 50%, which is much better than the stock market, and depending on where you live, as good as real estate. And you already own it - no further cash outlay necessary! But if the other half says it's gotta go, then we'll all hoist one for ya! I'll end with two pieces of advice........ when posting an ad like this, it's a good idea to point out where you live, and whether or not you're willing to ship (versus local pickup only). Also, if you don't get any bites here, craigslist is your friend! Either way, good luck! sumgai

If your profile is right , You live in Portland , OR. And if the Bible is right the World will explode.
So do you ship to Georgia and how much ? Do you have an ebay account ? I'm looking for one. Phillip

My issue with this ear breaking device is that I've heard you really need to get a FTR cranked up to realize its sound. problem is I can rarely take this thing over 3... the punch this thing has is unbelievable. I think it could cut through the red tape at the VA If the price is right I will ship to most anywhere in the US ( I can build a plywood crate for it). I know there is wisdom in hanging on to it but I would love for a player to let this amp shine. let me know -- Carl in drip city Oregon

hummy, Probably the Number One complaint of all time - it's too bleepin' clean! If'n you're thinkin' that the tone's OK, then try pulling the two inner power output tubes, and see what that gets ya. Elsewise, let Philip have a crack at it! ;D sumgai

Well, they are too clean until they're too loud.
So I guess they're too pure to be evil. So I'll just call her the obnoxiously loud twin.

It depends on what you want. A twin is GREAT if you want sparkling cleans+a dirt pedal for distortion. If you want power tube distortion and the ability to hear; its not. How much are you asking? My cousins looking for an amp and he wants cleans
