Hi all. While I'm still in an electrically creative mood, I came up with a bridge blender version of the strat lover's strat. The original one is great, I wouldn't say otherwise, but I identified two less-than-ideal points: 1: Duplicated settings (there are three possible settings that give bridge only) 2: The switch settings don't 'match' between series and parallel. So, I came up with this: It uses a 3 way tele switch to select between neck only, neck and middle, and middle only. The third knob (R2) is a blender that brings in the bridge pickup in series or parallel (selected by a DPDT switch or push-pull pot SW2) Bridge only can be accessed by turning the main volume R1 to 0, and the blender fully up. This gives no duplicated positions, and the switch settings match in both modes. In addition, you can also get the missing parallel combos of N+B and N+M+B. The way I have shown it, the tone control R3 is out of circuit when bridge only is selected, and in series mode only affects the neck and middle pickups. This is to preserve all of the tone from the bridge and is simpler to wire, but you could wire it as a master tone if you wanted. This circuit can also be rearranged to put the blender on the middle or neck pickup if preferred, but this way seems to give the most useful series combinations. Pete

Pete-
Interesting idea. My only concern would be:
Maybe not so easy to do mid-song, switching from rhythm playing to a solo for example. I'd consider your idea of using a push-pull for SW2, so that the parallel/series is right there, handy, while you're turnin' knobs to get the bridge pickup in the mix. That would be on R1, I'm assuming, since I haven't seen a push-pull blend pot (yet).
But I like the concept overall.
