Guys , been making guitars for 13 years now ... also do R&D consulting for New Orleans Guitar Co.... Problem is I'm getting OLD and need to find some good homes for all these guitars (no children /relatives to leave them to )... Please check out some of these at www.glenweber.com. No reasonable offer refused...Thanks !!! ;D ( Edited by sumgai to make the website name a link.)

Do you guys ever get a sitar /buzzing sound with roller bridges??? I had a stiney' on one and it buzzed like Ravi Shankar till I replaced it with a more conventional setup ...I dunno'...

Do you guys ever get a sitar /buzzing sound with roller bridges??? I had a stiney' on one and it buzzed like Ravi Shankar till I replaced it with a more conventional setup ...I dunno'... I have one on my bass and love it. The trick I've found is that as you have little tension on the string, due to the shallow angle of the through hole on the back of the bridge to the roller itself, is to shim the neck slightly back (like an older Gibson) and raise the saddles slightly. This keeps the action low and puts more break on the string over the roller. I play heavy strings on a guitar, so I hope the same trick that worked on the bass will hold on the guitar as well.
