Regarding Fender’s whole unfortunate tremo’Leo episode, I noticed on their web site under the www.fender.com/resources/fender_history.php link that they noted; “Most important, however, was the addition of the new Fender vibrato (or “ tremolo”) bridge, an innovation originally intended to let guitarists bend strings, thus achieving the pedal steel-like sound so popular among country music artists of the day.” Dang! I guess if one spits in the wind hard enough (and long enough), it doesn’t all just come back to haunt you….
