I am about to buy two 1 foot guitar cables for my pedal board. I have a ton of 6 inch connectors but I need two more that are a little longer. When it comes to short pedal board cables like this, does it really matter what brand or what the price is? I was planning on buying the cheapest available but was afraid that they might sound cheap. Heres what I was looking at. accessories.musiciansfriend.com/product/-Pedal-Coupler-Cable-Angled?sku=330244

To some extent, you will 'get what you pay for' but don't get pulled into the whole 'oxygen-free copper super-cooled nth-dimensional ultralight superconductor' hype. They're not worth it, especially at the lengths you're talking about.

With these short lengths I usually don't worry much about them affecting the sound much. What I do worry about is durability and repairability. The cheapest ones are usually molded plastic connectors which are impossible to fix if a connector goes funny.

At what length do you start to worry about quality, and once you are worrying, what are the real quality points you think matter for the longer cords? I always need a longer cord between the guitar and the board, and between the board and the amp. What's the max length, and what makes it better? Thanks,
