Hi! I was looking into a Yamaha RGX612A, wich is HSS (with active pickups), with three switches for pickup selection, volume, mid boost, and tone. Aside from that it has a switch for coil splitting the humbucker.
Everything is well except for the coil split. Someone dissabled it and now I have no idea how to wire it, being an active PU with only 2 leads and a shield.
Any suggestions? Need Pics? Thanx!

I have four coins in my hand. What are they? ;D ;D ;D Yeah, pics might help. However, with it being an active PU with 2 leads and a shield, one has to be power in to the pickup and one has to be the output signal. The ground connection would be the shield. I'm not sure what one would connect the switch to.

Yes, the lack of one lead in order to do the coil split makes me wonder, but Yamaha´s website confirms that the 4th switch is for coil splitting: SPECIFICATIONS: RGX612A Year(s) Sold: 1987-92 Original MSRP(US$): $559.00 Neck: Satin Finish Maple Fingerboard: Rosewood Color(s): Candy Apple Red, Black Pearl, Pearl White, Power Purple String Length: 628mm Nut Width: 43mm Electronics: 3 Mini Toggles Pickup Switch, Master Vol, Mid Boost, 2 Tone w/Coil Split Here´s a pic:

Are there any more wires in the cable from the humbucker that might have been cut off very close to the shield?
How many batteries are there?

No. If all of the pickups are active (powered by the same battery), one cannot reverse the phase of just one pickup unless you use an active phase reversing module such as the EMG Pi2 (which unfortunately comes with its own switch ).
