Hi, My question relates to using a 1 meg pot for tone on the HB in my current build. I also have two lipstick pickups that are in the mix. Can I use that pot and put some caps in the circuit so that on the 5k and 6k Dano pups I don't have quite so bright a tone from that pot. I would like to be able to install those caps in this circuit. ange

You can use capacitors, or resistors, or both. Typically, a 330 K resistor across each "offending" pickup will result in a 250K resistive and tone control load across the pickup when selected. However, when both neck and middle are selected, the load will be 142 K. Don't forget that the volume pot also contributes its loading. You could also use that "idle side" of the 5-way lever switch to switch in things attenuating. Pickup Coil Response TuningThe tone cut curve will still follow the 1 M pot, but the pickups will be less bright to begin with.
