ever heard of (My friend told me its called Norma) a acoustic guitar company called Norma. should be around the 1920's-40's he found one for free and he wanted to paint it but i told him he could be sitting on some gold. ANY info is appreciated peace

the NORMAs that i know are low-end japanese-made guitars from the 60's and '70's. the manufacturer was TOMBO. they mostly made electrics but there's a review of the acoustic here: www.harmony-central.com/Guitar/Data4/Norma/painting it wouldn't hurt or help its value really, but it would most likely affect its tone. wood on acoustics need to vibrate and paint or thick finished dampen vibration.
