I've recently purchased a variax 300 to do a transplant on for a project. The transplant itself will be straightforward however I plan to switch the bridge over on it. I have seen several projects of this online by Jeff Miller and others (who I noticed seem to be members here) so thought you guys might offer me some very good insight. I picked a 300 as I heard that its the easiest to do a bridge replacement on. I'm aware that graphtech do a ghost bridge which is compatiable www.graphtech.com/products.html?SubCategoryID=86 but what exactly would be needed to do to connect the new bridge and are there other alternative options? I saw Paul Langwade's instructional page where he shows how to attach the variax components to PRS style tremolo which looks awesome (and far cheaper than buying a 600) ( homepage.ntlworld.com/paul.langwade/) I'm more worried about doing what is easiest in terms of bridge replacement rather than anything else. I would defo attempt the floyd rose long as it doesn't require any major work. This is largely because the body I plan to use is already routed for a floyd rose. Failing this idea, my other idea would be to simply but it in one my other fixed bridge guitars with a bypass. Would that be a more daunting prospect? I'd be grateful for any info anyone can offer as I'm weighing options up at the min before I start anything Edited: By Newey to fix links-

digitalz- Hello and Welcome to G-Nutz 2! I fixed the links in your first post. Looks like you figured out the linking process in your second post. I've never played around with a Variax, or used the Ghost Tech piezo saddles, so I don't have any words of wisdom. But I'm sure others do, and will be along soon . . . If you mean transplanting the entire Variax works into a different guitar, I think prospectively that would be daunting. There's a lot of circuitry which already is fitted in the Variax body that may not easily fit elsewhere without some routing and/or other cavity modding.
