As I mentioned in the Wiring thread I was having trouble deciding which of the myriad of sounds to demo. I haven't yet received any requests, but this thread gave me an idea, so here's the first of what may be a number of samples from this guitar. Xavier That Bad Demo (3.19MB .mp3) It's based on my song "That Bad"For the verses and the second chorus on the Left side you hear the standard two humbucker sound - that is intrapickup series and interpickup parallel = (N1*N2) + (B1*B2). On the Right side is the "opposite" - intrapickup parallel and interpickup series = (N1+N2) * (B1+B2). For the first chorus it's the same, except with the Neck out of phase. I added a lead part based on the vocal melody over the last half. Over the verse is all four coils in series = N1*N2*B1*B2 and over the chorus is the same with neck out of phase. Edit - guess I should mention that all of these tracks were recorded direct into my POD Studio UX1 (instrument input). All of the rhythm parts use a Roland JC120 model with the exact same settings. The leads use a model of some Orange amp, again with the same settings.
