Hi Nutz.
Well, I have been going through some old cassette tapes and other things from decades past and thought I'd start sharing a few from time to time.
Some are working out ok considering eh age and the format...some I have wanted to hear again fro the longest time.
...
To start things off, here is my 'remastered' version of a tune I called "beckistan" (being a beck fan, though sounds little like him).
It was played directly into audacity through the sound card (the computer was a 386 LOL), my first ever recording to computer. I monitored through headphones I used a cheap digital Korg AX1G amp sim...basically clean with some echo...at 4am before work so as not to wake the family.
The whole tune was improvised, hard to believe!
The guitar the old sustainer strat 'phase-o-caster' $50 plywood pawnshop prize. The first phrase is the neck pickup, the second the bridge pup and from then on the sustainer in either fundamental or harmonic drive mode.
It was a good tune then as now for showing off the range of my DIY sustainer guitar...but I think a good guitar and rare to hear a solo electric guitar piece.

I remastered the original MP3 in reaper, fixing a tiny 'mistake' I never liked by muting just that note. I added a limiter and some reverb to give it gloss, but it is pretty much exactly as it was originally played.
There are two more tunes recorded at this time on this guitar...

This tune has a vaguely celtic melody, as far as I know it is mine. I particularly liked the more "me" middle section which features a sustained open note while playing the clean guitar above.
A very squeaky tremolo, but shows how much I was starting to use the thing. You can hear a few 'auto swells' and other techniques I was exploring on this new instrument.

Another similar tune, this time showing the kind of 'woodwind' sound that you could get with this guitar if you turned the tone down a touch. Again, a solo guitar and showing the sustaining chord thing.
I can hear a touch of a roy buchanan tune in the cadence. Unfortunately, the end was cut a bit abrupt...might have to go back and fix that some time.
...
So, there is a start...a lot of other stuff I have been finding goes back as far as 1982 and if nothing else, shows the extent one would go to record with a pair of cassette decks and swapping tapes back and forth.
In addition are some live recordings of a few things, some are a bit long for the soundclick unfortunately, but there are a few worth having a listen to perhaps. There may well be other ways to host something like that.
Feel free to comment or ask questions...more to come
