What the heck causes me to exude this strange moisture that has me running for the: talc, Finger-ease, GHS fast fret, chalk, baby powder, etc. (!?) It seems as if its not related so much to heat as it is to mild nervousness... except at times I can be full of stage-fright an there's no problem! ---or sweatin' it out and no problem! I find it to be unpredictable and the only way I seem to be able to put it in check is to play REALLY gently and relax as much as possible whilst trying to keep finger tips and the entire neck dry. Then, without warning I'll suddenly -inexplicably regain that natural kind of dry lube the skin supplies.... kind of like super fine peach fuzz, if you'll excuse me, its like your skin gets with sex but to a lesser degree. A friend suggested it may be ''man-o-pause'' which at my age I s'pose is possible but I'm not really tryin' to kid around here. Does anyone have any ideas, maybe nutritional, or........... I'm at a loss

pops, Your last guess has it, in my book - you are what you eat. Since none of us has particularly good dietary habits, especially when we're either on-the-run to the next gig/practice/jam/GAS alleviation roadtrip, or we're just banging around the house, it seems to me that it would be easy to "lose track" of what you've had for the last three meals. I'd bet pretty heavily that you've been hitting the hot sauce again, haven't you? I won't make suggestions on what to eat or not eat, but I can say with some experience that if you start tracking your comestibles, and what happens within a few hours afterwards (or even longer), you're gonna find more than one or two surprises. But this takes time, so don't be expectin' any quickie answers. Although you may suffer the occasional "A-HA!" moment.... that's OK, it gives you something to chew on. (Pun highly intentional!) He was gone before I arrived, but his humor was usually in good taste.
