Hello, following the thread "Understanding Soviet Guitar Wiring" guitarnuts2.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=gotopost&board=wiring&thread=5916&post=56940, using partly tvrobots pictures as well as taking out the circuitry board from my own Stella Guitar, I was able to draw the following schematic diagram: Actually the whole circuit seems to be designed by a technician or engineer rather than a real guitar player. There are many options to set the switches, but only few of them really make sense while some of the settings (like switching on more than 2 pickups at the same time) will degrade the sound significantly due to phase shifts and interferences. Also the real use case for the split mode of PU3 and PU4 remains a mystery for me, same goes for the hi pass mode of PU1 and PU2, which only make the sound hollow and thin... On my guitar I also made some small changes related to grounding by cutting the existing grounding cables and adding a star-like gounding instead. Also had the strings connected to ground through one of the star cables. This reduces hum significantly and makes the guitar more enjoyable - and these modifications can easily be reverted to put it back to original state. Cheers Wuff

*applause* That's a nice piece of work you did. I don't imagine there are many who need to know what the wiring of one of these dinosaurs looks like. But the few who do, will be very grateful that you've shared this. Let me buy you a beer.
