Hi there,
Is it possible to wire a 2 conductor Ibanez humbucker (Red, White, Black (ground i believe) ) into this configuration: Humbucker, 1 volume, on/off mine switch (for singlecoil/humbucker), jack-output?
Is it possible, and if so, how?

I count three conductors.
Got a meter?

I count three conductors. Got a meter? This. The white is probably hot and the red your series link. But you need to confirm this by measuring the resistance between pairs of wires.

Only a little. If you look at the listing for Ibanez under "2 or 3 wire pickups", you'll see they show the white as hot and the red as "coil tap" (series link). The problem is, not all Ibanez pickups follow the same color code. So if you rely on that (which is the same as I suggested in my previous post) you will probably get it right. Is probably right good enough for you? If it doesn't work properly, will that be because you got the colors wrong or because you made another error. How will you know? I dunno what things are like in Denmark, but in the US, meters are dirt cheap. www.harborfreight.com/merchandising-promotions/merchandising/general-merch-electrical/electrical-testing/7-function-digital-multimeter-90899.htmlA meter is extremely valuable but the monetary cost is extremely low. I don't see how anyone who will be working on guitar wiring would not want to get one.

How will you know? well, i can always rewire it right? How would i do it, if we just take it plain simple 1 humbucker (2 wire), 1 volume, 1 on/off switch (coil split)? I will get me one of those as soon as i find one the a local store, cause i checked and they're about the same in Denmark, as in the US - Strømsholt

more than likely, you'll only need to use one side of that switch

Assuming it's actually a three wire pickup, you'll only need to use two lugs of that switch. Makes one wonder what we might accomplish with the other four...
It's with noting that none of those wires are actually ground or hot or anything else until they're connected to something. Unless the black wire is connected to some metal parts of the pickup for shielding purposes. Then it is probably intended to connect to a "ground" point, but it still ain't ground till it gets to ground.
