The other day I added a coil tap mod to a friends guitar.
The two humbuckers in the guitar were single connector, so I had to do some surgery.
For the new 4 connector wire, I cut the ends of an USB cable.
Turns out USB cable have 4 colored wires and a shield. (conveniently enough, the colours are green, red, white and black)
If you guys are anything like me, you've probably got a bunch of unused usb cables lying around that you don't have any use for...
