I recorded this rough demo last week in NYC after a producer I met at an open mic was kind enough to head into the studio with me and a talented engineer he knew. soundcloud.com/alexandersmith-7/london

Brilliant..very haunting and original, a hit right there!. See you at the Grammys 2014.
What a great trip! I'm expecting your next post will be about how you were sitting at a down-town bar, absent-mindedly doodling wiring diagrams on a table napkin, when Paul Reed-Smith happened to look over your shoulder. And the rest will become history....

Dude... that is awesome. Do you do the major-minor thing in the turn arounds? I cant quite tell for sure. My guitars are on their way to seattle for a show or I'd try playing along.

Thanks fellas! John, I'm keeping my eyes open and a working pen in my pocket. Newey, that's my piano work as well -- the instrumental solo is originally a dual guitar harmony with a little more flourish, but we felt introducing the piano earlier by using it for the solo set up the chords in the last section. JFrank, I've written the chords for you here. I guess I get close to doing the major/minor thing a few times, but the G major that would be there's an E7 instead.

Good, i liked that. Could have been a pink floyd song from pre-wall era (or around). Very british. It has certain phrases typical to british bands.

There's an intensity and autnenticity to your voice that I really like, and the tune itself was very catchy, yet unpredictable enough to be interesting. Great work!

I like the chords, the flow well with the melody. I noticed someone made a Pink Floyd reference and I kinda agree when the piano kicks in (that is a good thing). Nice, and good vocals too! I don't really have any complaints. It was a good mix, and a good song. I enjoyed it. I kept thinking this would be a good intro song for a movie as the opening credits roll while the lead actor gets ready in his apartment or something.
