Have any of you guys heard of Zexcoil pickups? I was on steviesnacks.com (an online guitar lesson site) and at the bottom of each video they show the gear they use. I noticed the pickups look a little exotic (like the Parallel Axis from Seymour Duncan but with slanted pole pieces). After a tad bit of research I found this site and noticed that there are a lot of wiring possibilities. www.zexcoil.com/forum/index.php?topic=14.0 My idea would be a two pickup guitar, two humbuckers, with traditional coil splitting and top and bottom string splitting. Any thoughts?

Never seen nor heard of these, but the idea is certainly tempting to try!
Of course, I'm sure we'll hear the lament that all 6 coils are not individually accessible. Probably hear it from 4real, I'm guessing . . .
This has me in mind of the old Gretsch stereo pickups, as on the stereo White Falcons from the '60's, where half of the strings went to each channel.

I have to admit, I like the way he textually described how to hook up all the wires to the push-pull switch on the pot - nearly as good as a picture. BTW, vF, how the Hellrya?! ;D

Yeah, I was thinking some dual channel action to have really crisp highs and the low three strings running into my Octave Multiplexer to get a bluesy style with a lot of thump.
Looks like there is only one way to find out. I'll probably buy one and go from there. I'll report back with the findings once I get it.
Thanks for asking Sum. I'm doing well, pretty busy between work and school as I am trying to graduate as soon as possible. I'm trying to make more time for jamming and working on my guitars and bikes though.
