I had a little exchange with a guy that originally suggested this a while back:
What do you guys think?

I also tried modelling it. It does get rid of the extra mid resonance as you approach zero, and also reduces overall volume at minimum tone since the whole signal gets shunted by that new resistor. Getting rid of the hump can also be achieved by a series resistor, in effect, stopping the tone pot getting to zero. Fender do their Greasebucket control, which has an extra cap, but its basicly a series resistor on the tone pot.
At higher tone settings, the parallel resistor doesnt seems to do much

Series resistor makes more sense.
What would be a rough guess estimate for a value?
- In my case, hot humbuckers, 14k DCR @ the bridge.
Would 2.2k be about right?
