The acpadI assume most of your first thoughts will be "cool", and then naturally the nutz brain will take over and try to decipher how this is working or at least conceptually. I'm still a bit skeptical that the playing in the video is actually triggering the sounds and not just skillfully mimed. 1.) it's only 2mm thick, but has a self-contained battery? 2.) I'm guessing a piezo system of sorts could pull the actual string sounds out, but imagine there would be a lot of "cross-talk" To quote the great Dr. Scott: "it is, I suppose, some kind of audio-vibratory-physio-molecular transport device?"

I seem to recall this coming up here once before, but I'm old and my seach-fu is weak this morning...so: This was from a research study performed by Bernard Richardson. My guess is that the pad placements are built from this mapping. But I could be wrong. I notice it only supports USB or wireless. That seems to lock you in nicely to Ableton Live...who seem to have locked the product placement spot nicely... Interesting concept. I don't see a lot of people sticking this on their 1930's Martin, though... Nice find. Happy Trails Cynical One
