Thanks!
Question: I have some old speakers, or semi old that I need to identify and have some #'s stamped on the basket, where would you suggest I seek origin or data on them? I am initially looking for name/brand/make/model and then the level of quality if any?
this is what is on them:
12" speakers, found them at a garage sale in a homemade, evidently, dysfunctional combo amp and have this info stamped on them:
65-1451 270545
and have this stamped on the speaker cone / material itself in silver ink:
QN125-A
thanks a metric ton!!

rodentnanniez,
You have a pair of, ahem.... Quam low-power jobbies, made during November of 1965. The QN... code signifies that they used an in-house paper. Probably good for 15-20 watts apiece, if you're after clean sound. Might survive more wattage, but I probably wouldn't like the tone.

Done so soon? We were all hoping to get a derail for Christmas. Yeah, I can handle more of that brand of "entertainment" too. What I would not look forward to is appearance from KIIMH - that would put a damper on things, trust me. (But if D20 were to show up, that'd be a good thing. ) sumgai
