Does three position "push-pull" pots exist?

Hi all,

I'm planning to start dabbling with a bit of diy guitar wiring at the moment, and to that end i was wondering whether anybody here knows whether a slightly more advanced versions of the standatd push-pull pots exist.

Specifically I'm wondering whether any "three-position" versions would be available?  

Either  on/on/on  or  on/off/on?  

Any help/info is greatly apprechiated.

PS: The reason i'd prefer a fancy pot solution over a switch is because I the "cleaner" look of a guitar without all kinds of added switches etc

As far as a 3 way push/pull pot, I have never seen one. The most Ive seen beyond the P/P pot would be the S1 switch
which is a 4- pole/double throw switch.

Yes, as far as I know, no such part exists. But I've been surprised before. I didn't think there was a dual-gang P/P pot until Runewalker found one out of China a while ago.

Understand that the guitar market generally won't support "custom" bits only of interest to guitarists. Regular DPDT P/P pots exist because they are used in other types of electronics.

I appreciate that you don't want extra switches. Why don't you lay out what it is that you want to do, and we'll see if we can come up with another route to get there.

If you're just looking to avoid adding toggles and would prefer knobs, you could go with a rotary switch. I'm not personally aware of a DP3T, but there are 4P3Ts out there, and we won't make too much fun of you if you "waste" a couple of poles.
