Hi, I've been looking for good (enough), preferably free, software for Windows for designing guitar circuits. Obviously, it does not need to be the most sophisticated of software. But, a nice library of switches, pots, inductors, etc. would be very helpful. I've looked at the free version of 5Spice, but it is just too restricted (circuit size). Does the paid-for version include a library of switches? I looked at the following page: guitarnuts2.proboards.com/thread/6153/software-drawing-wiring-schematicsBut none of those are suitable (wrong OS, or Java required (which I would be very reluctant to install), or plain crappy (Inkscape)). Any suggestions? Thanks.

I may have found something which will work for me: TinyCAD. sourceforge.net/projects/tinycad/It has a variety of switches and other useful symbols. And, the ability to create new objects. I'll let you all know what I think of it when I've had a proper chance to play around with it. I still welcome suggestions!

I use a freeware app called "ExpressSCH", which is a companion to "ExpressPCB", for circuit boards. But I can't really compare/contrast it as I haven't tried any others.
Much of this stuff is loaded with features that only an EE would use, and I'll never use even 10% of the program's capabilities. So, I looked for one than wasn't too much of a hog on resources.

Thanks, newey. I'll give that a look over too.
