(EDIT: moved to Guitar Wiring by sumgai, 2/6/2018)
I'm a Newbie of Newbies and just tried to post a question to the group but think it either got lost or got posted half finished. I'm sorry, I'll get up to speed and learn about the forum. It's been a long time since I've been o a forum and this one is a bit different. Also, I'll be able to post pictures soon. Okay, I've tried your patience enough. I consider my question module related. I found a schematic that has a dual gang linear hosting a 220k and coupled to an on/on/on. On the on on on is a .047, .0022, .022, .0047 config whereby the .022, .0022, .0047 are connected on the neg side with twisting their legs and that runs to a 1.5mH Inductor. Mr. .047 is by itself grounded. This circuit is terrific and I love it but cannot find what it's called nor it's entire intent. I'm new to the wiring game and have learned my lesson that when you find something you like, you best name it and catalogue it with details because it could be difficult in the future to locate on the Web. So if any good souls could help me out with the name, etc. Ican catalogue it in the winner category. Secondly, and I've looked and maybe I'm just not looking correctly; however, I swear I remember seeing a long time ago - like over a year, a mod for passive chorus on a ring modulation "type" configured pot. Can anybody point me in the right direction on this one? I've developed my own and think it sounds pretty darn good but I am hoping to compare it to a tried and true past discussed mod. Look, I apologize for my long winded and to many of you, probably repetitive questions; however, I honestly have beat the bushes onthese two and would not bother this group if not absolutely stymied. Thank you to all.
One of our friendly Admins will give you a proper Guitarnuts2 greeting. They'll also move your thread to Guitar Wiring. The Design Modules subforum is a 'rules apply' zone, reserved for presenting finished designs.
In time you'll get the hang of what goes where.

The description sounds like a variant of Gibson's Varitone. Not sure if that will aid in your search to find it again, but it might.
reTrEaD mentioned the Varitone circuit by Gibson (not to be confused with the surf band The VaraTones!), you might find what you're looking for by starting in that direction, or at least you should get close.
Well, that's the kind of circuit I like to experiment with. Actually, I haven't built it yet - but I decided to redraw it and make sure I have drawn the wiring correctly.
For one thing, I am unsure of the value of the inductor. (1.5 H maybe?) What is the value of the ganged potentiometer and the resistor in between? If I made any mistakes (and I probably have) please let me know.
Ooo, like the changes you made in yours !! Yes, the inductor is supposed to be a 1.5H; however, I have used s 2.6H, the TL18's - I think? Personally, they sound great, to me pushing the presence; but, I have no idea regarding the notch frequencies created by the 2.6H, nor the 1.5H. it's just more "vibrant" and tones from the 4 caps - two rolls are more "distinct." The resistor is suppose to be a 220k. - I use a 270k.
