... that can make me cry: cat videos and watching the performance of two or musicians in complete synchronicity and harmony.
Thus, leaving the cats to their own forums, I have to expound that on this planet and at this time, there is no one who can excel over Yanni in finding and placing together musicians of the highest caliber. You may not like his music, but if you can tell me with a straight face that his players are bunch of no-talent, also-ran, has-been time-wasters, then I'll be happy to call the men-in-white-coats, because you're daft in the extreme.
If you haven't paid attention to Yanni in the last 20 years or so, he has earned his fame in the most time-honored way, by sharing the stage with people equally as talented as himself, and showcasing them in their most desired way - letting them roam as they will. While I don't think the following video exceeds the primo bravura performance of his Acropolis tour, he certainly didn't come up with second-rate performers for this one. I swear, these two must be married, or at least they were in a past life - they are that supportive of each other. Take a look:
Like I said, like Yanni or leave him, he does the world of music a lot of good in exposing talent like this to music-lovers of all stripes.
And yes, they spoke to me so eloquently that I cried. Small tears to be sure, but they weren't dry, I'll admit that.
Did you know?
In 1920 (98 years ago!), H. L. Mencken (cynical1's forefather and mentor) foretold that we would one day elect a moron for a president. TRUE! Go look it up, really.
