Fellow Nutz, After the debacle of PhotoBucket's garbage policy change, has there been any 'officially suggested' image hosts for us here? If I'm going to migrate the pics to a new host, I'd want to make sure I don't have to do it all again in 12 months or sumfin'... Fanx! for any thoughts... John Edit: Ooop. Found some help: New Instructions on Image Posting ...but still looking for options...

Hey Oz-
Cloudinary is the preferred option, and we have incorporated an easy upload button. The other option is via the imgb button.

Good thread, Oz. I think this is a topic worthy of wider discussion by all GuitarNutz members. Cloudinary and Imgbb are "preferred", mostly because there were plugins available to facilitate uploading from the user's computer during the posting process. This thread should serve as a nice venue for our members to discuss the pros and cons of other image hosts. One name that came up recently was Flickr but there seem to be many more to choose from. ProBoards has a list of External ResourcesThey name:
Fotki Freeimagehosting imgbb imgpile ImageShack nickpic.host Postimage vgy.me Village.photos So those might be worth discussing if anyone has used them. Obviously imgbb has been used here and although there are a few drawbacks, it's incredibly easy. I know very little about the other eight but if ProBoards is recommending them . . .

One name that came up recently was Flickr but there seem to be many more to choose from. Not that it probably matters too much... but I received a note yesterday that Flickr is being acquired by some crowd called 'SmugMug'... So, I wouldn't be surprised if something will be changing there with how images are served out of Flickr... or if Flickr will even exist.
