'bunny,
I'm curious - can you capture a screen image of what you see, and post it here? We have had, and likely still have, a few low-vision members, and I don't recall ever getting a request quite like yours.

Hi @angelsbunny
In the not too distant future, I reckon the staff will be having some discussion about themes (the look of the forum, colors, fonts, etc). The decisions will be internal to the staff but we will be taking ideas from comments like this.
As a quick-fix, I've taken the basic GN2 Default theme and applied a few color changes on a new theme: Soft Contrast.
It uses OldLace #fdf5e6 as the background color and #181002 (the same hue but much darker) for the text color.
If you'd like to use these colors when you're logged in here, you can click on Profile in the Nav Menu, then click the Edit Profile button in the upper right area of your profile page. Then click the Settings tab and there will be a dropdown menu labeled Forum Theme. Select Soft Contrast from the menu, then click the Save Account Settings button at the bottom of the page.
(I've used that background color and text color in this post)

But as for the words (black text on white background) after a while with a lot of Text (why some Fonts are better than others are less bouncy Comic Sand for example) can Fuzz in to one another.. and can read the same line 20 times just to get it. Tend to scan read and MISS OUT load of the important bit. I know i do it, but its hard to correct.

I've done as 'reTrEaD' (Agent Gibbs) has suggested and Toned down my own screen. going to install OpenDyslexic Fonts now

going to install OpenDyslexic Fonts now I'm interested in hearing how that works out for you. I doubt that will ever be a choice we install on a GN2 theme, though. It isn't available through Google Fonts. And it looks to be a bit too stylized to be a default for everyone. I just looked at a couple of fonts available through Google Font. Roboto and Open Sans both seem as if they might offer clarity and readability while still presenting a professional appearance. If you have the ability to audition either or both of those on your browser, let me know what you think of them.

I'm as interested/intrigued as reTrEaD about these font choices. Yes, the Staff will be discussing this "behind the scenes", and we'll let everyone know in due course what we decide. In the meantime, @angelsbunny, do keep us up-to-date with what you find in your experiments on this forum. If you have suggestions we can follow, such as a good experience on another website, then let us know that too.
HTH
