Just breaking down what you are asking
First Point the Push/Pull Switching.
When drawing circuits tend not to say whats one state or another, thats up to you
Saying that ... as you look at the Legs POKING out, middle is the common every side
Top 2 pins are the UP state and the Lower 2 pins are the Down (Normal)
UP A | UP B |
COMMON A | COMMON B |
DOWN A | DOWN B |
HSS Guitar. BUT changing it to a HSH (just the xxH being a single coil size)
hmm so 4 wires coming off this NEW HUM, and I've not got a clue of COLOURS used
to know what is HOT and what is NOT (always someone who using another colour just to pee off the rest)
So Top + Top - Bottom + and Bottom -.
Typically the Bottom - goes to GROUND
UP A = Bottom +, COMMON A= Top - and DOWN A=GROUND
<SINGLE when down and Humbucker when UP>
Top + going off to the 5 way Switch, replacing like for like
Volume, Lug 1=INPUT, Lug 2=OUTPUT and Lug 3=GROUND
And for the Humbucker that is already there, its just the other way around
UP A=GROUND, Common A=Top - and DOWN A=Bottom +
Tone, Lug 1=Input Line, Lug 2= Input Line and Lug 3=To Capacitor.
can also do it Lug 1=Not Connected, Lug 2=Input Line and Lug 3=To Capacitor.
1. Yes, but I'd sooner change a stage at a time (i always muck up when doing the whole thing in one go)
{like taking out peoples organs, if you take all out they start to scream but a bit at a time they might not notice}
2. If this can be done, how would I wire the middle pickup ? Shouldnt need to Touch the Middle Pickup !!
3. If I have come this far I might as well throw in a switchable
treble bleed with a
slider switch for the bridge pickup only.
hmm Treble Bleed to me, goes around the Volume! lot of different types out there.
So, we are going to use
Slider Switch for being in the
Treble Bleed when in
BRIDGE ONLYSo depending on what type of 5Way switch you got 4P5T, 2P5T and there is a strange one, i dont even know what to call it (longer arms that move over to output/input pegs) and you got the Cheap S-Type
I can only think of how to do it on the 4P5T and the S-Type for BRIDGE ONLY.
4P5T you only need two of the poles to use as a Selector and just use one pole to bring this bleed in, Common as the Bleed and the Bridge point as the Bridge.
The Cheap S-Type, is a bit more complex as its a HACK.
Means taking off the board and cutting a Track, for that i would Cut the Track for where PIN 3 goes (This will be Position 4 and 5 cut between so that only when Bridge is selected the Bleed will come on), PIN 4 to Bleed
PIN 5 OUTPUT, PIN 6 NECK, PIN 7 MIDDLE, PIN 8 BRIDGE
>Very wordy and someone might do a bitter image than myself

I think you are asking for some thing like this.>Typical ME!, 1am, the DD 1)NH 2)NHM 3)M 4)MB1 5)B1
