We talked about CUTTING the Track on one side of the POT (I think ONLY the Middle one will need it for when you have NxM) But all other times i cant see a Problem (Neck becomes a Master when the Switch has been flipped to "Abby-Normal Mode") Between Legs 1 and 3 is the Resistor, and 2 is a ARM that Pulls off in the middle. as we only use it as a Resisters (than a Divider) we only need 1 LEG and ARM so just after the Carbon (Resistance) Part we make a CUT This means that from the Carbon to the Leg is not hooked up any more So that when the ARM is on this POINT, it will be not connected. 250K that Leads to NO WHERE! therefor killing the Tone Pot Will have 1....10 Settings ranging from 0-250K Ohms but at TRUE 10 will be Not Connected These modes are best done on a Push/Pull tone pot as the Turning Arm just pulls out like a Pin and your able to put back together.

I've checked it a few times and this should work, tho people dont like to have HANGING HOT! you need to make a CIRCUIT to make it work, so Hanging hot i dont care about as we talked about, open a Push Pull pot (nice and easy to do) cut the Track just before the SILVER bit this now means the circuit only works from the other leg and the arm, so when its on the Cut silver bit, the Middle tone will not activate at all. Ive tied down lose ends as much as i can Only when its on Middle Only the Neck Tone will HANG but as its not connected to GROUND it doesnt matter

Thank you Sir!! Now I have to figure out what I’m looking at. I’m used to wiring up guitars from Seymour Duncans site where all the wiring diagrams are pictures. I should be able to figure it out though.

Forgive me for my ignorance, but I’m still having a lot of trouble understanding what I’m lookin at. The numbers next to each connection dont make sense to me. I can read schematics posted on Fenders support pages & the picture diagrams posted on Seymour Duncans site, but for some reason I’m failing to decipher yours. The circled part in the picture, is that the Super Switch? Thank you again for all the help!!!

C = Common 1.2..5 its the States .. you said you had a Super Switch what is a 4P5T (4 Poles ie 4 Commons and 5 Throws ie 5 Different States) so what it is in the First State, all the Commons lead to 1 1st goes to ground, meaning the NECK comes in to Play 2nd goes to Ground to tie whatever Middle to ground 3rd goes to Ground to tie the other side of Middle to ground (means Middle is out of the picture) 4th goes to Ground to tie Bridge to Ground, it is now ground both sides and its out fo the Picture you have now Selected NECK EXAMPLE the 3P2T switch, both myself and another person made an error with that the 4P5T i did think went Left to Right, but Really does Right to Left then you got to figure out which ones are ONE and Common took me AGES to Pull this apart and took the other guy too some time. Some as my diagram too but it was a bit better

Gonna try and figure it out from your last post. I need to learn rather than rely on too much help!! I’ll let you know how it all goes within the following days. Thank you!!!

Mooger-
We're here to help, so feel free to ask questions. As a much wiser man once told me: "There are no stupid questions, except ones for which you already know the answer before asking . . "
And, so that we can help if needed, take notes and document what you do. I tell everyone here, test your components (even if they're brand new, but especially if they are used) before you solder things together. Record the actual values of pickups, pots, etc., that you are using. If troubleshooting becomes necessary, such information can help sort things out.

Damn... I’m still struggling to figure this out. If somebody has the time & is willing to draw this out to something similar how Fender or Seymour Duncan show their diagrams that would be amazing. I totally understand if y’all are annoyed by me asking. Happy New Year BTW.
PS/ Its just frustrating because I can recalibrate vintage synths and read schematics on locating trim pots, convert MIDI keyboards to MIDI foot controllers ect ect but even with all the help already posted I cant figure this out... Something is going over my head & I’ll probably be really embarrassed if I figure it out.

Guessing you want some image more like this (I HATE the 5 way switching diagram one these things as doesnt show PINS or COMMON) but with the circuit I've drawn. Sadly i dont know how to do these graphics .. what other formats do you like also to Note, the CUTTING of TRACKS best done on these Pots as they are easy to put back together (some companies put EXTRA case around them to make them look they they MAKE them and they are the best, when really there all the same) this is easy to pull the legs off (SPIDERS) and then push them back down (DONT f up with the Spring in the SWITCH part)

Appreciate the heads up on what PPP to take apart. I wonder if those CTS PPPs are a pain to open? I got them for cheap so I might try those 1st...
Thank you for helping with the diagram!!!!!!!!!

Tell me, has your frau had strange spells lately, where it looks like she's in some kind of telepathic communication with another wife, both of them conspiring to keep their husbands from relaxing for a day or two? I could swear that.....
The one great mystery still to be solved in this world is easy to state: Why do wives believe that a white wall is automatically the wrong color?

Hey!! Since I’m the only female on this forum, I will tell you that a wife is always right!! She may be right (as in 'correct'), but that does not automatically equal "white is wrong". I mean, my wife has driven Sherwin-Williams employees to the insane asylum, she changes her mind so often.
And of course, every time I have to paint something, she'll say "Hey, I can help, ya know, I've slung a paint brush more than once or twice in my life". Sure.... for about 50 or 60 square feet, then guess who gets to finish the job.* But worse.... Worse! The cats have to inhibit their room, they can't do their usual cat-thing throughout the house for several hours/days. That right there, that's not good in my book. Gibson's sort of OK-ho-hum about it, but Fender really gets a case of the jaws. After 8 years, you'd think he'd be used to it by now. Sigh.
As for being the "only" female present... how do you know that for a fact? Just curious, mind you.
sumgai
* In some fairness, I'm still 6' 2", whereas she has shrunk down to 5' 6". Some of the job just makes sense to use the taller person, before a ladder is brought into play.

Just checking in to see if you would still be willing to help me out with a diagram. By no means do I expect anything soon, because I know there are a lot of things going on in that wiring. Appreciate all the help if you can.

mooger-
I apologize, I had hoped to get to this last weekend but real life intervened, and I'm leaving town for several days tomorrow so probably will be next week at the earliest. The problem isn't the complexity of AB's schematic but my crazy schedule.
I appreciate your patience with me, and if anyone else can work on this into a diagram in the meantime to get mooger up and soldering, please have at it!

Thank god. i was worried ill have to Explain it No worries. Life gets in the way... Not looking to turn this thread into a therapy session but, I just found out this morning my ex girlfriend passed away 2 months ago from a brain tumor. I’m heartbroken. We separated after 5years on bad terms. I couldn't trust her & she was popping pills. Solid case of opposites attract... She reached out to me less than 4 months ago saying she had changed & that she didn't have long to live. Having been lied to countless times in the past from her I thought she was just being desperate trying to reel me in again.... It hurts knowing she was finally telling the truth & that I’ll never be able to forgive her to her face. So ya, I totally understand life gets in the way. No rush on the diagram. I do appreciate all the help given here.
