It seems simple enough, but I must be to dense to figure this out. I'm trying to get the outer coils when pulling the switch, but I keep getting nothing out of the neck pickup. The pickups and switch are fine. I've tried wiring it a couple of different ways, but still nothing from the neck. It must keep getting grounded out.
Here's the parts: 2 humbuckers 2 volume pots 1 3-way switch 1 shared tone push/pull pot
I've been bulding for a while, but the electronics just stump me sometimes. If you could make a diagram, I would be so grateful! Thanks guys!

I don't get it... If you've done it with the bridge humbucker, how come you can't with the neck pickup? If you post your wiring, I think it would be easier for us do help. Anyway, don't bother, electronics sometimes are quite tricky... EDIT: Are both pickups from the same manufacturer? If not, check again the wires' colors, also test (with a multimeter) if possible. You may have got the wrong wires (but I can't think of any wire exchange that would ground the pickup) or a dead pickup.

Same manufacturer. Tested them both, both work fine.

I figured it out! I'm not sure what it was. Maybe a bad solder connection. After the 3rd time of unsoldering everything and putting it back together, everything is working fine. Who knows.

It happens quite often. Just check for bad wires or the problem may be back later.
