i took a look at that "vintage LP" wiring at SCdotcom.
with the pots "forward wired", if one volume is at zero, when both pickups are switched on, you will have no sound.
if you can deal with that, it's a better wiring scheme in many ways.
it would be best if the pot cases were connected through the shielding, and the shielding met the signal ground at one point only. that could be ONE of the volume pots, for example.
you would connect the "low" terminals of the pots together, with wires.
