Hi Guys! Me again! Right, please explain something to me. I have a Charvel humbucker, made by Jackson. It has 4 wires and an earth braid. I've been on some websites looking for Jackson wiring colours, but they're different to mine. The wires are red, black, blue and white. The red and black together make a circuit, and the blue and white together make a circuit. I want this pickup to be coil-tappable, so how do I connect this please? I need to know which one is the hot output, which one is the earth, and which two to combine then join to the coil-tap switch. I thank you!

you again? okay. Derek, i don't know of any pickups with those colors. the closest is Kent Armstrong, but he uses red, blue, green, and white. so it looks like it's one of those figure it out for yourself sort of things. i really hate to send folks off-site for this kind of thing, but this guy's done a good job already: www.projectguitar.com/tut/pickupwiring.htmif it's a 1 HB guitar this will get you all the information you need. if you're adding that to an existing guitar, you'll need to do the same for the pickup(s) that are already in it. unk
