Just discovered the site and it looks potentially very helpful but I am confused. I've seen references to tutorials and a "Quieting the beast" article. My particular problem is a brand new Mex Strat that buzzes. It stops when I touch the strings. Where do I find the how-to on shielding my guitar to eliminate hum?

hi Rocknsail,
welcome to GuitarNuts2.
sounds like you're looking for John Atchley's site.
just look up on this page, just below the ads.
you'll see something that looks like this:
The Original GuitarNuts site, where this community was born!
click on it, the link will take you there.
when you're done, stop back here from time to time, and chat with us.

This is the forum driven sister site to the original GuitarNuts.com, which is where JohnnyA started everything. Here is the front page, main mods menu, and the quieting the beast mod many people refer to. Also feel free to browse around in the other areas where are there are great articles on all manner of guitar wiring. Chesh
