I am looking for a schematic on a mid boost not for a pedal but one that will fit in my guitar. I also need a parts list I want to make one for mine. I know I can buy one but I work on electronics and want to do it myself. My axe is wired as jimmy pages using a gibson 500t and a 496r . So if anyone has any info on this matter please let me know thanks. Paul

hi Paul, welcome to GuitarNuts2. Steve Ahola at the Blue Guitar ( www.blueguitar.org ), has a schematic for the Eric Clapton mid boost: there are also hand drawings, parts list, and layout. go here: www.blueguitar.org/new/schem/_gtrand get the files starting with ec_. if you're in the mood for experimenting with passive circuits, you might also look at the varitone. Wolf posted this drawing a while back: this also has a "stereo" version. www.provide.net/~cfh/varitone.gifthe varitone was a mid-CUT circuit. but if you twist things around so the cap and inductor are in parallel, it becomes a tank circuit. you will cut the highs and lows, so the mids will be more pronounced. unk
