Hello Everyone,
I am looking for a 1/4" input jack (for a guitar) that ALSO contains a "shielded casing".
The "shielded casing" is a tube that surrounds the 1/4" input jack. It actually shields the input of your guitar (similar to having the cavity shielded with copper foil. I have seen this on ONLY 1 website so far and i forgot to bookmark the site.
If anybody knows of this website, or company that manufacturers these, please let me know.
Thank you.

GuitarElectronics has one. guitarelectronics.com/product/JK21it appears to be the same as a Switchcraft 152B. (stereo capable) you might save a few pennies, if you don't need the stereo version and get one through Mouser, Newark, Allied, etc. the mono-only version is a Switchcraft 151.

fenleo, The only problem I'm having with using one of these instead of a shielded jack cavity is the size - what you're looking for is 2 1/4" long! That certainly won't work for a jack that sits within the pickguard on the average guitar, nor on any Strat configuration I've ever seen. I believe you'll find the application for this limited to "edge" mounted jacks, such as Tele's, LP's, and others of that ilk. If that's what you've got, then follow unklmickey's advice above. They all seem to retail for $9.00 and up, so shop around. ;D HTH sumgai BTW, your guitar has an output jack, not an input.
