I just picked up a lil' old ibanez iceman at a garage sale, loaded with dimarzio dropsonics. looks good and and feels good, but it sure as hell doesn't sound good. This thing suffers from horrible hum and gets much louder when the strings or pickups are touched.
I figured this was just a wiring issue, such as having the jack's hot wire mixed up with the ground, but to no avail. Theres something going on in the wiring but I can't place it. Any suggestions as to what would cause this phenomenon?
