a center detent means that when you get to the center while turning, you will feel a click, this means it is at 0. as you go either way on the knob, you will go to either -5 or 5. if im not mistaken it is usually used on active pups usually used for tone as far as lows, mids and highs go....
then the concentric pot i believe is just a blender pot, but dont quote me on it....

okay Monradon, i think i have some Aspirin for ya.
center detent means: it has a click stop in the middle of the rotation. could be a single pot, could be a dual concentric, could be a tandem.
dual concentric means: there are 2 pots stacked. they are operated independently. the small (diameter) solid inner shaft operates the rear portion. the larger (diameter) hollow outer shaft operates the front portion.
tandem means: there are 2 pots stacked. both pots are operated from a single solid shaft.
clear as mud?

Yes, a blend pot is a tandem and has a center detent. It has both a normally tapered resistive element and a reverse tapered resistive element.
The Fender TBX pot is a dual element tandem and has a center detent. It has both a normally tapered resistive element and a goofy tapered/interrupted resistive element. ;D
