I recently received a set of pickups custom wound for my MIM Strat. I'm still new at this, but I figure things out quite well. The problem I'm having is when the 5-way (inline) switch is in the bridge (5th) or in the neck (1st) position, I only get half volume, but the other three positions seem fine. When replacing the new P/Us, I've removed only one wire at a time and replaced the new one quickly thereafter before moving onto the next p/u to keep things organized. The hum (not stacked, but rail) has a red, green, black, white and the ground. The red is connected to the first terminal, the black and green are soldered together and taped back, and the white and ground are soldered to the volume pot. For the mid p/u, the black is grounded to the volume pot and the white is to the second terminal. The same with the neck p/u, but white is to the third terminal. Everything else remains untouched. My wiring matches the wiring of a Highway1 HSS diagram on the Fender site exactly. The million dollar question: What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance for your help.
