hey i found the guitarnuts site recently and have been pleased im trying to shield my strat but i have a few questions one as far as shielding the body i found some sheets of copper im going to probably just buy that but today i bought some paint that has a 98% zinc content and i was curious if that would work and i went to local radio shack and closest i could find to the recommended capacitor i found a 400v .01uf metal film capacitor as far as the voltage im not concerned with getting shocked but as far as the uf the instructions said i shouldnt go less than .1 uf or it would do something about suffering sound would my .01uf be ok if not i saw that i could remove the capacitor and put a wire in its place... as far as sound/tone goes what diff does it make thanks for the help...

The copper sheets would probably be perfect for the pickguard. However, copper tape with conductive adhesive is much esier to work with for the cavity.
