okay, i'm finally re-wiring a whole guitar for the first time (instead of posting theoretical wirings). I've drawn up the schematic for what I think will be a good setup. The two HBs are Duncan JBs (2 conductor wires), and the mid is a Fender Custom Shop '58. The setup is as follows. Take a peek and see if I haven't screwed this up too badly. 1 - Bridge 2 - B + N (parallel) 3 - Mid 4 - Neck 5 - B * N (series) Also, if you have any suggestions to tweak the setup.. any better combinations? (just keep in mind that I don't really care for the sound of HBs and SCs parallel together - positions 2 & 4 on a normal HSH). PS.. does anyone have any experience with 2 HBs in series? I'm mostly just curious about it and think it might be fun, but if someone can say that it sounds like crap, then i may re-evaluate it. PPS.. i have doodled around with some possibilities for standard 5-way switches (2P3T w/detents), but I haven't had any luck. any suggestions for some interesting setups using a standard 5-way? thanks all

okay, i've done a little bit more work on the standard 5-way switch idea. with this schematic, i am using a standard 2P3T 5 way switch, on a H-S-H guitar. I've included a SPDT switch to incorporate the middle pickup because I don't really care for single coils in parallel with HBs, but I'd still like the flexibility of having a single coil. as follows... 1 - bridge 2 - bridge + neck (parallel) 3 - neck 4 - bridge * neck (series) (.. technically i suppose this is also in parallel with the neck pickup at the same time) 5 - bridge * neck (series) This might be a slightly ugly way of getting the job done, but as I don't have a superswitch, and may not be able to get one until the new year... and I have to use this guitar on new years eve, I may be out of options. Any thoughts, corrections or comments would be appreciated. Thanks.
